New Yellow Golden Paint

I’m sure some day I’ll know how to pronounce the new yellow color, Benzimidazolone. A Golden ad in the July/August 2018 Artists Magazine says, “Let’s just say “Benz” for now.” According to Golden, this yellow has exceptional lightfasteness and amazing color. Benz Yellow Light is more transparent than Hansa Yellow Light and Benz Medium is more opaque than Hansa Medium. The Benz yellows are purportedly a little warmer than the Hansas as well.

There are actually 10 new colors in the Golden line, but the Benz Yellows are the only 2 being offered in all 4 acrylic varieties: heavy bodied, open, fluid, and high flow. Plus, they’re yellow! I’m going to try to get my hands on some over the weekend. I’ll let you know how the test run goes 🙂
